I only played it briefly, (Sonic felt like he wore cement shoe blocks) so I can’t judge it much, but from what I heard StH2006 doesn’t sound like something I’d enjoy. Especially, those “one mistake and you die” auto-run segments.
 
Even people who hated the controversial Shadow game agreed that “Shadow” was a better game.  
I admit I didn’t like it at first, but the more I played the Shadow game, the more I liked it. I liked the variety in items, (especially hitting enemies with roadsigns) and how interactive/destructive the environments were. The alternative paths were a nice feature, as well.  
If the game had more bug-testing, it’d be pretty good actually, and story-wise it brought closure to Shadow’s angst, making him not so brooding anymore.

From all accounts, Sonic 360 managed to be worse than Shadow, as far as I heard. It being released one year after Shadow is… Actually, I’ve never been fully clear on the definition of irony, thanks to the unpredictable nature of surfers. XD

I wish they at least attempted to find someone that actually sounds like the characters. Don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely animation, but hearing male voices come out of female ponies is unsettling and makes me think I entered a weird rule 63 fanfic.

Y’know, despite it’s issues, I actually enjoyed that game. Honestly, not the worst Sanik game I ever played.
