That’s the commonly accepted one, yes, but I think that fits more Starlight than Sunset.

Her Element would already be Empathy
That… makes a lot of sense… When she crossed into the portal, she had no way of knowing she wouldn’t have magic, the thing that made her stand out over all her peers.
In an effort to feel special, she probably went and worked like crazy to learn every skill she could think of. Not because she had any real talent in most of them (I don’t think) but because she had the willpower and the fire to keep at it until she mastered it.
Once she was shown friendship, she was able to see that skills and talents aren’t a tool or a way to show off, and was able to actually have fun with all her creative know-how.
And so I think that if there was an Element of Harmony for Sunset, I don’t think it would be Forgiveness or anything like that, but Passion.

That concept would make a good episode theme. I’ve always wanted Princess Twilight to come back from time to time to do studies on the Human world. Besides, it’d be a good way for her to hang out with Human Sparkle.
Maybe this is the long-term effect of having no magical cutie mark on the pony mind.
