Well (This version) Lois Lane existed several years before My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, so one could argue that Octavia is a ponyfied version of Lois Lane.

Wow, looking at the tags you guys are really funny. Twilight Sparkle doesn’t even come close to personality like Stocking from PSG but some jump at how similar they look, but if Octavia has a passing resemblance to Lois Lane if Superman TAS design. Shit hits the fan.
 
Wonder if there would be butthurt if she called a fellow musician that’s socially awkward, “Ponyville” (to Lois’ Smallville).

Considering that they have the same hairstyle and eye color, there is a some resemblance. Don’t think the OP was referring to Octavia has Lois’ characteristics or personality just a similar appearance.
