Homosexual relationship will not happen. It would mean the show literally cannot air on TV in Russia, and several other countries as well.

Exactly. StarBurst is about as safe as it gets, and it would be a great ending to one of Starlight’s character arcs–or at least, give Starlight some closure when it comes to Sunburst.

Its very safe to develop if the production staff decide to do so. There are opposite gender friends other than them but they are the only same species one that’s higher tier support characters. There’s no questionable age gap either.

Shame. I mean, StarBurst doesn’t offend anyone. Both Starlight and Sunburst are flawed characters and they are awkward and clueless about their feelings and the relationship between themsevles. That’s like…very normal. StarBurst does not invite any controversy whatsoever, it’s very safe.
 
I mean, if EqG is going forward with Twi x Timber or even Sunset x Flash, why not push StarBurst? Are they giving Starlight the “waifu must stay pure” treatment? Come on, please don’t do that Hasbro…

Um… no. Even as a big starburst supporter, i don’t belive they’re going for that route. They are friends but the fanbase can interpret whatever they want. That doesn’t mean it will happen. If it does, good

I think the show is trying to tell us sumsing: LyraBon shows up right before StarBurst.
 
Looks like StarBurst is another one of those “pairs” that the show heavily implies they’re a couple but doesn’t explicity say.
