Although seriously, I’ve been a fan since G1. It’s true that collectors have had a helluva time trying to get their ideas across to Hasbro. Hasbro listens to bronies exactly because we spend more money on toys and merch. You only need to look at all the crazy merch posts popping up all the time now and Equestria Daily. It’s insane.
 
I don’t think that collectors were “too polite”. I don’t think that there were nearly enough of them for Hasbro to act on. G1-G3 collectors were certainly not as numerous as Transformers fans, for instance.
 
I just wish OP didn’t make such a childish and emotional post. I will happily share this fandom with collectors. They’ve been here for a very long time, after all. I suppose I’d just prefer my fellow fans to act like adults. Heh, I know. I know. I’m asking a lot of the Internet. I can dream, can’t I? Can’t I?

woudn’t the white celestia mean the pink ones are more valuable and therefore better for the collectors? I don’t see why this is a bad thing

Indeed, these older gen fans are more toy collectors than avid animation fans. If only they would realize that most of G4 fans appreciate more the show and its world than the merchandise.

Good for them. I don’t think that some bronies realize that, just like how some of the older fans don’t get a lot of bronies like the show exclusively and try to shame them whenever they talk about popular characters that don’t have toys.

And you don’t realize that they care about the toys more.

G1 was a fucking awesome idea, execution coulda have been better, but on it’s core, it was cool.  
The movies more than the cartoon.

I’ve heard that a playset that sold for like $200 in the 80s goes for like $1000 or so today. Really is crazy.
 
Hasbro will do what makes them money. They obviously thought a reboot of the franchise would turn out better than continuing G3. They didn’t think it would bring as much as it did, but there really was a perfect storm.
 
You’ll find no hate from G1 from me. I know these people are outliers and not representative of the whole, anyway.

You should see what kind of money some collectors will spend on an old G1, or MiB G1, or ‘nirvana’ G1. Crazytown.
 
Only problem is most of them collect G1 which is old and no longer gives stuff to Hasbro, G4 is current and new.

Well, bronies have proven they have more disposable income than other fans I guess. That’s really what Hasbro cares about, they’ll make what people will buy lots of. Not fair, I agree, but there is some previous-gen stuff still coming out.

Well, sorry that I can’t support Hasbro and Hub by getting the channel and watching the show other ways. Not everyone lives in USA.  
I do like buying some toys but I’m not a collector.
 
I’m totally OK with older gen fans and toy collectors but this is a bit sad. I wish people could get along better.

Yeah rly Its, look at all the oodles of crap G1 Transformers and Joes fans got, even single-use vehicles they never planned to put into toylines got thrown into comicon or something.  
So, ya’ll shoulda bitched some more when you had the chance. Bitching gets more shit done in general, you just have to learn to live with the few bad results here and there too
