for those who can’t read breezie, she’s upset that her cutie mark appeared because she didn’t drown. can hold her breath or whatnot. and canterlot doesn’t have a lot of oceans or large lakes to take advantage of this. and she’s started to realize that a cutie mark just points out some quirk of yours, and won’t tell you what to do with your life.

…except they only appear when you figure out what to do with your life.

…but hey, s5 is canon, so who knows why they appear!
