Shining Armor seems to fit his parents a bit more compared to Twilight. He’s got a white coat like his mom and a blue mane and tail like his dad. Also Rarity’s dad has a white coat so that explains Rarity and Scootaloo also having that trait.
 
As for Pinkie, I’d always assumed that was dilberate to show how different she is from the rest of her family.

Coat color is not usually an indication of parents. The parents that came in Season 6 onwards follow that convention (Fluttershy’s, Rainbow’s, and the Apples), but the parents before (Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie) do not share coat colors with their parents

Flash Magnus being Scootaloo’s dad is probably the WORST stretch anyone could make. He lived and disappeared 1000 years ago. I repeat, ONE THOUSAND years!!! And there is no canon appearance of Firefly. Only a passing mention from the founding of the Wonderbolts, which was still plenty of years, if not decades, ago. The fact that the poster used Comic Sans in this must mean that they’re doing this to shitpost…

I firmly believe Flash Magnus had foals all around Equestria. So he probably is related to Scootaloo and Flash Sentry and Rainbow Dash several generations back.

I like the idea of Flash Magnus being Flash Sentry’s ancestor but considering the whole timeline thing, I don’t think he’s his dad.
 
I also like the idea of Firefly being related to Rainbow Dash and/or Scootaloo. She was the go to place in for Rainbow Dash’s mom in the fandom before her canon mother appeared in the show.
