It’s because humans and wolves were both persistence hunters and often targeted the same prey so we frequently worked together on hunts and shared in the rewards.
I just got a laser pointer for the holidays and I found out two reactions when cats find out where I comes from
They’ve already been aware and know exactly know what the dot is. Aren’t at all affected and don’t bother with the dot.
I know where the dot comes from, but don’t know what the dot is. When you turn off the pointer, they will come up to younand leave in a way that is pissed in a more disappointed way. The sound of the key ring clinking is enough to let them know what is coming.
@Badumsquish
I would argue that elephants, dolphins, killer whales and higher-order primates are also capable of such abstract conceptual thinking, but that’s beyond the scope of this comment section.
@Nightweaver20xx
Nah, to quote a buddy of mine, of all the species dogs could have chosen as their companions, they chose humans. That alone is proof of how special humans really are at heart :P
Fixed it, cause we sure as Hell ain’t pure.
BRB, fapping to WhiteKitten art and looking up Holocaust pics!

I really wish we (and by we, I mean humans) could get a reading on just how intelligent cats are. Because of their standoffish and uncooperative nature, they can’t really learn “tricks” nor do they follow commands, so the jury is still out, I feel. Dogs at least listen to you, so we can kind of gauge how bright various breeds of them are. But cats? They’re this big mystery, and something tells me they prefer it that way.
@soundtea
I really really hope we get such an episode. Just them discovering stuff like fast food and such XD
@Bionomaly
I think most cats are smart enough to know where the dot is coming from but just like chasing it. My cat knew the sound of the button and would come running, and she’d watch the pointer in my hand until I turned it on, and then frantically look for the dot XD
@OneSpooky
I love the idea of her just sort of roaming around the desert acting like a huge house cat XD
She’s just not fooled any longer :P

Wished we could of gotten pictures of that. That would of been funny
A little while at least XD
Ha ha ha XD

We’re the only species that even has a concept of it and strives for it though :D
I made the better argument by virtue of presenting evidence. :P
Sorry, I’ll never be convinced of that no matter who tells me that or how many times they tell me it.
We’re pure of heart for having the concept of pure of heart to begin with XD

And some think that they have both, when, in reality, they’re little more than babbling imbeciles.
But you can’t choose your family, can you?
Humans have great intelligence, but they do not have great wisdom.
All things considered we’re pretty smart I think. :P
Except humans. We’re dumb in every way.
I don’t think you can really compare the intelligence of most animals because they’re all smart or dumb in different ways, y’know? :P
