To summarize what the AU is about, basically different events occur that cause certain events and characters to go and act differently than we know them. In this version of Equestria, it is ruled by the Pillars of Equestria (Starswirl, Mistmane, Rockhoof, Somnambula, Flash Magnus, And Mage Meadowbrook) who are cursed to be immortal.
 
Twilight Sparkle used to live in Canterlot where she and her friend Moondancer spend most of their days studying magic. But that all changed when Moondancer got her cutie mark and went to Starswirl’s school, at first she was heartbroken by her only friend leaving her. She tried to make more friends but she noticed something when trying to make a friend, ponies distant from each other through disagreements and arguing. So Twilight believed that Equestria should function with friendship reigning supreme and have everyone be friends with everyone, so she created a village where ponies can learn the true meaning of Friendship. Those who live in her village are super friendly and don’t believe in any other emotion other than happiness, there are no fights, no disagreements, just friendship. But all of that changed when Sunburst and his friends were summoned to her village by the Tree of Harmony, at first Twilight thought they were here to join her village, but she was proven wrong when the Mane Six show the ponies in her village the true way of friendship, driving themselves away from Twi’s ways. Angered, she decides to force friendship into them and even forcing them to join their village, but they found a way to not only escape her grasp, but also set the rest of the village free from her way of thinking. She flees before they can do anything to her, vowing that she will create a better Equestria. Later on, Twilight manages to steal a spell Starswirl made relating to time and space, she decides to use this spell to create a world where her ways are law, but she was caught by Sunburst and Gabby who went into the pocket dimension with her. Throughout, he tries to tell Twilight that friends make mistakes and they can overcome it, but Twilight always refuses, until eventually after a heartfelt speech, she finally gives in and they both leave the Friendship centered world (it still goes strong even after she abandons this mindset.) She’s not really Sunburst’s student but she is being trained by him to learn the ways of friendship, through this new reformation, she reunites with her friend Moondancer and learns the values of friendship through trial and error.
