“This is Bull. How may I help you?”
The signals are both mixed and completely straight.

Besides something about the pairing seems strange to me honestly, especially because Spike still comes off as a kid kinda to me in this series. It seems more like a random crack-ship, rather then a somewhat-possible one. Even in a deadpan humor parody fan-series like this.
Honestly, I wish fans would realize that sometimes our prefered ‘shippings aren’t always the best thing, or most important thing for a story. (I see Sonic fans whom bash the Sonic comics/games for not having their favorite pairing like “SonSally,” “SonAmy” or whatever canonized.) While I don’t hate ‘shipping, (I even faved/upvoted a few ship pics of pairings I don’t care for, because they were well-drawn) I’m not as obsessive with it as most bronies seem to be, and I honestly sometimes tire of how almost everything MLP fan-related always has to have some sort’ve shipping undertone, or overtone constantly.
At least, this fan series is usually more subtle about it, or doesn’t focus on that aspect all the time.
@redweasel
Only those that care more about a crack-pairing over the humor, reinterpretations of the characters, or an actual story.

You’re not the only one.

I am one hundred percent seriousy, all the time.
Pretty sure redweasel was being sarcastic.
Really? I didn’t know that. :( Thats too bad.
yep, you’re the only one. everyone else thinks the series is dumb.
So the jape is most likely the “mare hormones” line.
It’s been around for decades at least.
A jape lies more in a jest or mockery.
