But…without friendship, would she be able to reach her full potential? Wasn’t that the conundrum that ignited the series to begin with and set forth the events that eventually resulted in the now Princess Twilight Sparkle?
 
“What would have happened if Twilight chose Magic over her friends”? She wouldn’t be a princess. She’d probably be as afluent as Trixie is in regards to her stage magic as the magic she would have learned through friendship would not have been known and, though she likes reading, she would be limited to the knowledge in her books. And, with Starswirl the Bearded not having friends to record any sort of magic either, chosing magic over friends would be rather worse for wear for Twilight, not to mention, the entirety of Equestria, what with everything the magic of friendship has rectified.
