The pairing of the black and yellow colors have become rather popular in recent years; it may be possible you’re thinking of somepony else.
 
On the other hoof, I’ve had my character Daybreak Ponii since about 2011. He’s gone through a few changes, mostly regarding his mane and tail, as pony creator software updated to include different design until resulting in this final design that I was lucky enough to commission from my now good friend Richard Haigh, aka: Penmark, in 2013! So, I have been around for a while; there’s a chance you might have seen me somewhere before.

Dang, I must have missed that part. I read most of the rules and saw the deadline was that same day and freaked out, hurrying trying to make my submission.
 
It’s fine, though. I wouldn’t have been able to make a transparent background version in time anyway what with the stress of having to move before the end of the week >.< Would have been a frivolous effort one way or the other.
