A lot of the songs are quite pretty and cheery.
The non-villain ones anyway.
Crunch’s own song is a bit scary with that voice.
The G1 show looks more girlish than FiM on the surface and music. But really, it’s pretty dark.
They’re actually about all equally badass, at least in terms of attitude about the threats and monsters they face. They know their home is horrifyingly dangerous and menacing, but they’re willing to stay and defend their territory.
Not all the Dream Valley ponies have had the chance to actually visually kick ass on screen though.
Don’t underestimate her though.
This pony just killed four giant skull-eyed giant-toothed living jumping boulders not even 3 minutes before the time of this screenshot.
She is fairly awed by the living mountain.
Think Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time, only much bigger and made of stone.
