Description
Granted the first day of the new year has passed in most time zones I’m aware of, but I wanted to make something to celebrate the occasion. Also, don’t ask how I came up with the party hat on her belly, it just kind of happened. I guess it would be difficult to wear it on the top of your head while laying on your back, wouldn’t it?
I used the opportunity to experiment with thin lines, and the only way I can describe the result is by quoting one of my wise friends - who I probably should have listened to - who said: “that works best with […] shading”. In hindsight, I couldn’t agree more BUT this was a simple one-off image I didn’t want to put too much time and effort into, in part because I wanted to be late by the shortest amount of time possible and because I don’t think the idea itself is particularly great, I just wanted to get it out of my system :D
Many thanks to Conrie, Discorded, Pirill and Tvio for their feedback, even if I didn’t manage to incorporate some of the suggestions due to wanting to finish this tonight (yes, I still consider 7 in the morning tonight until I go to sleep, thank you very much)

Think of it as one of those “Do Not Disturb” paper signs people put on their door handles to prevent people from entering. It’s more of a “please don’t tickle” rather than “don’t touch me or else”.
But this doesn’t stop the tickling. Her sides are exposed, and so are her hooves. Clearly she needs six more party hats.

Yes, but who would voluntarily protect themselves from belly rubs?
Now that you mention it, protecting from belly rubs does sound like a good practical use case for wearing a party hat on one’s belly. Although it does leave the majority of the area exposed still, it serves as a great deterrent nonetheless~
