She’s ignoring him, true, but she isn’t doing it intentionally. This is what gets me about the show—Twilight is not openly abusive towards him like some suggest, she’s just oblivious. I appreciate what this artist is attempting to do here. Since Spike is calling her “Mommy” are we looking at a slightly different approach to canon, a fanon in which Spike does see Twilight as his mother, and in which Twilight takes on that role?
Spike loves bubble baths, remember?
