Like seriously, I’m black and my interest on the Black Panther character besides his name and costume design has been destroyed thanks to the idiots of social media.
 
Iconic characters are made through their actions, not their skin color. That’s why I can easily explain awesome black superheroes like Blade, Steel, Catwoman (Halle Berry), and Hancock. Hell, I show more sympathy and support for new Marvel heroes like Miles Morales based on their actions and why they want to be known for being a superhero.
 
P.S. I won’t be surprised if they pull the same bullcrap statement for the upcoming Lion King live adaptation film.
 
In fact, I remember reading a comic page about Miles Morales addressing toward some youtube celebrity about only being known as a black Spiderman.
