I think a minimum amount of change could still work – G4 Twilight is still often seen messing around with potions, telescopes and scientific equipment, or losing herself in extensive research projects; a high-strung, passionate researcher constantly fiddling and experimenting with herbs, reagents, potions and beakers, acting like “our” Twilight but focusing on a different sort of craft, might work very well.
Steven Universe is good as well.

I personally have high hopes for G5! Yeah, it’ll be more girly and pretty, but wasn’t G4 girly and pretty before bronies? It still is! They can definitely do some creative things this time around if they want!

I think this way Twiligt has even more potential as a character. She is still a leader character, from what it looks like, so as a unicorn writers mostly stuck with powerful magician.
As an earthpony possibilities are endless. She can be physically powerful, can be an engineer, scientist, shaman (Zecora like) etc.
When Twi is unicorn this traits can be only secondary and easily outshined by the right spell that she happens to know at the right time.
And a good reboot once G5 is up for another decade to come! Been a brony since the moment FIM came out, and even then some since I was partially infatuated with the previous generations, to.

True, and well said. I’ve been officially a brony sense April 2011. (When “Cutie-Mark Chronicles” was the newest episode, though I started with the first episodes.) Despite the ups, and downs with the fanbase, and show, I may not have alot of fanart, or contribution to the fanbase, but it was a great ride while it lasted.
Just hope the series has a great finale planned that the fans will love.
