while i’m trying to get my designz together for the fancity family, i whipped up this quick chart of the mane eight + cmc shipz for the popularverse!! this is supposed to be a popular ship universe so that’s why i chose the same shipz that other people normally choose, so please don’t come at me for that! and of course, i had to include cheesepie in two universez…it’s my otp of course!

Yeah, neither FlashLight nor TimberLight were good additions to their respective movies.

timber actually hurts twilight a bit as a character. threw out the movie twilight is stressed out by midnight, but when she is with timber its like midnight never exsiccated. and timber doesn’t help the problem at all, not even asking if there is a problem. when ever theses two are on screan the pairing is in your face, obnoxious, and takes away screentime from character that need it, like the other members of the main 7
And again, the chemistry between the two accomplishes nothing. It does not pump up the fandom like flashlight. It will only bring more hate to both series because of it.
Because TimberLight involves SciTwi and not Pony!Twi, so it carries no ramifications for the main show.
I mean answer not ask.
Ask my question first. How can timberlight b that harmless?

Both of u don’t know anything. Flashlight is truly harmless and has saved twilight. Timber contributes to nothing at all in the series. If flash was removed from the movie, the story wouldn’t have happened in the same way.
I actually find TimberLight to be rather harmless. More accurately, the way I feel about it is “It’s SciTwi, so who cares?”

Flash contributes nothing to the story in EqG1. If he were removed from the movie, the story would’ve happened in pretty much the exact same way.

If flash was barely a character, we wouldn’t have seen him in the first movie at all
…How? They barely do anything at all together, and Flash is barely a character (at least for the first few movies).
I’m not defending TimberLight, though. It didn’t really bring anything interesting to the table.
The way I see it, the flashlight ship works because the chemistry between flash and twilight is both exciting and unique at the same time. Timberlight on the other hoof, no pun intended by way, is annoying and irritating. The bond between twilight and timber is extremely bland and does not establish dominance of the flashlight ship and is not exciting nor unique. Otherwise we would’ve had in the first movie and seen timbers counterpart. I don’t see how flashlight can b a bland ship when I see timberlight as a true bland and horrible ship due to the poor chemistry and excitement between timber and twilight

Flashlight is and still is the greatest idea in the mlp fandom. The only ill conceived idea that should b written off from the fandom is timberlight
At least they tried to involve Timber in the story during his first outing. On the whole though, I tend to agree: TimberLight was something that nobody asked for. Though the same can be said about FlashLight.

Hey, flashlight is the greatest ship of all time in the fandom. If there’s a bland ship that is the worst ship of all ships in my little pony, it’s timberlight
