I couldn’t agree more with that, and it would be nice seeing the trio of dancers once more speaking out in the later season to come. Plus, they were such a delight to see in the Carousel Boutique episode >w<
I tip my hat to you for the rational and wonderful exchange, as well as the amount of pleasure I had of seeing this mare as Hatsune Pinku. It just sits so well with her image X3
@kato
That’s interesting, I hadn’t realized they’d made a card of her. Enterplay and Gameloft are pretty comparable canon, so I guess her name is still up in the air.
I hope she’s in season 8 with a speaking part and DHX puts a canon name in the credits. Still hoping for Molly, but other options like Binky Pie, Candy Rave, or Hatsune Pinku would also be nice.
@Ferrotter
It was actually introduced by Enterplay LLC which is under licensed by Hasbro. I’m actually rather curious if there is more solid proof of this characters name and such, but I find it difficult to rely on a mobile game who calls a trio just different variations of “dancers”, the photographer schoolpony name Shady Daze as “Shady Schoolpony” among with other characters with names that just labels them rather then identifies them.
But despite that, the only contradiction these two have is that both Gameloft and Enterplay is both under licensed by Hasbro. Would love to have further feedback to either clear this curiosity, or ascertain this question.
@kato
Citation, please. Not that it’s impossible I can miss something, but the only place her name has been “revealed” that I’ve ever seen is in the MLP mobile game, and it’s Ecstatic Dancer. I just checked now, and it’s still Ecstatic Dancer. So unless you can show me some official Hasbro, IDW, or DHX release calling her Pacific Glow, I’m going to call male bovine used hay on that claim.
Where it comes from definitely wasn’t either Hasbro, IDW, or DHX, though. It certainly wasn’t “revealed” by anyone either. The name “Pacific Glow” was made up by a Derpibooru user in the comments of one of her earliest screencap images. It was enshrined as her tag here a day or so later by a single Derpibooru mod, because it was losing a fan naming poll to “Molly” and he didn’t like that name. If Hasbro or DHX has actually adopted “Pacific Glow” as a name for her, then that’s that. but unless you can provide a link to where one of them has done so, the only canon name is Gameloft’s “Ecstatic Dancer.”
@Ferrotter
The name Ecstatic Dancer is a released name in the Gameloft Mlp mobile game, along with Hyped-up Dancer and Athletic Dancer, which respectively, was revealed their names being pacific Glow, Azure Valoure and Flashdancer.

It is something different. The only official name that’s ever come out for her is Ecstatic Dancer.
