Well, in this case I think it was an affirmation of their relationship. Things had gotten distant between them, because of Pinkie’s unfortunate habit of putting on a silly act to keep ponies from ever seeing the real her.

That isn’t true at all. I would say most of the characters seem to be genuinely good and good friends. Look at Lyra, Vinyl, Cheerilee and Berry Punch’s friendship. Even Octavia is a good friend to Vinyl and BonBon is too. Twilight has been good friend’s with Applejack when they meet and Rarity too. You could say overall, Twilight is good and pretty pure. Spike is good and friend’s with tons of people. Starlight is for the most part “good.” Moondancer isn’t too friendly, but she hasn’t been “bad.” Many characters are good and good friends to others.

This Twilight’s biggest problem is that she’s representative of the pony people wish the real Twilight still was. Learning lots about friendship while being a friendless shut in.
 
For this Twilight Sparkle to claim she has friends is a wild, wild stretch. Especially with how she’s treated Pinkie in the past. She’s not even particularly good friends with the ponies living in her house because she shuts herself in her room and reads all day.
 
Don’t get me wrong, I love these comics. But this is why Twilight was sent to Ponyville in the first place…to make some friends and stop being a shut in. Moondancer herself is literally the greatest casualty of that behavior.

Amending fences once again. Last time it was Pinkie helping Twi and Moondancer; this time it’s Moondancer helping with Pinkie and Twi.

Since when were this Pinkie and this Twilight close in the first place? I don’t think this arc earned its ending.

Moondancer’s house was condemned, and she’s been living with Twilight ever since. Either this is Pinkie’s house, or Moonie and Pinkie spent the night in someone else’s house.

Yeah, Moondancer isn’t much of a friend either, really. But that’s a problem with this comic all throughout.

Aw, things work out for the better.

Wonderful ending to this arc. It all came together nicely and is leading to a new overarching arc with Twilight possibly trying to be a better friend. I like this, and am very happy with the outcome.

…Why is Pinkie’s house in a forest? Or is this the place Moondancer brought her to before?
