This pretty much sums it up. There is no wikipedia page for Twilight, only a consolidated character page, so Google looks elsewhere for relevant info. In this case, it looks at the first popular result, wikia, generates a summary, and caches it for subsequent searches. If that cache was inaccurate, say from a vandalized wikipedia/wikia article, it could remain that way for a long time until the next scheduled update.

Google is really one of the worst search engines in existence, but retains popularity because it tailors your results to what you think you want to find. It still entertains me whenever there’s major disparity between my results and a second party. For example, if I search a state name, my first results tend to be news articles on recent terrorist attacks in that state; if my mother searches the same state she gets airplane ticket prices. Gotta love good old Google Analytics.

Could be. But considering the images are sourced directly from her wikia page, it’s more likely an old edit that leaked into the cache. Just looking at the number of undo edits for vandalism in the last couple months, I’d be willing to put money on it.

Google’s “relevant data” box sources from just about any site it can scrape, including questionable crowd-sourced wikias and IMDB. If you can keep crazy edits alive on Wikipedia long enough for the scraper to cache, you can get that box to say just about anything about anything. This is why “You only looked at the top ten Google results, didn’t you?” became a meme.
