“Okay, he’s gone. Now, we talk about…our plan”
 
”What plan?” Airbrush, Color Palette, and Mozart sat around the living room as their sister, Amethyst Glow peeked out the window, watching their father reluctantly walk away. It had taken a lot of work to convince him that she was old enough to babysit her siblings, but she was glad she did. He couldn’t be around for this…
 
”You know how Dad is always really sad because he misses Mom?” Amy looked around as her siblings nodded solemnly. “I don’t want him to be sad. I want him to find love again if it means he will be happy. So we’re gonna find him a date!”
 
”A date?” Amy’s siblings gasped in surprise. This was unheard of! Nopony could replace Mom!
 
Airbrush was the first to voice their concerns. “Amy, I know you want him to be happy. I want him to be happy too, but…he’d never replace Mom like that.”
 
”Nopony could live up to her!” Color Palette added. “He said that he could never love anypony else. Why try when Mom was already perfection?”
 
”Shouldn’t we just let Dad decide when he’s ready to date again?” Mozart asked. “I didn’t know Mom, but I’m pretty sure Dad wouldn’t move on from her very easy.”
 
”Guys, I get what you’re saying, but I think this could really work!” Amy seated herself on the couch, her siblings surrounding her. She shuffled through a pile of papers with pictures of mares both familiar and unfamiliar. “I got contact info from every single mare I could find, so he’ll have plenty to choose from. We’ll just send him on some dates and he can pick one for himself! If Princess Twilight got married after her husband died, who says Dad can’t?”
 
Mozart was skeptical. ”Princess Twilight was different. I once heard Uncle Dusk say she and Flash were getting a divo-“
 
“Ooh! I like this one!” Color Palette was already fawning over the mares, pointing at the ones she liked best. Even Airbrush expressed reluctant approval after looking at some of the potential candidates.
 
Amy watched her siblings’ varying expressions of approval and nodded her head in approval. “I think we got this! Operation: Date For Dad is a go!”
