Description
4chan had a brony with a box of Twlight on it. Its a rare sight to see a light approach on MLP.
Who’s he?
Not from what I’ve seen. It’s thrown around randomly just like retard was in days of old.
Dunno. Cuck seems to be here to stay as a way to refer to anyone who is prone to give in under pressure and who lets others take from them more than deserved.
Yeah, I know. Anything that one group of people likes that others don’t usually gets the latter to trot out the austism insult now. My reply was answering the earlier comment about people taking offense.
And yeah, insults seem to run in circles. “Cuck” is one people latched onto as well. A few more years and something will replace autism.
It’s not the only one, others like the Sonic fandom tend to get stereotyped as “autistic” too.
Though, admittedly using “autism” as a humorous saying, or insult slur is getting kinda old now. It’s practically replaced “retarded” at this point, but honestly “retarded” sounds less insulting to me. I’ve even seen “mentally-handicapped” people call things “retarded” too.
Don’t pay much attention to it. Remember it won’t have much effect on real life.
I’m aware of the image, but it doesn’t change the fact that, once again, our fandom is being equated to austism.
It wasn’t funny the first time. It wasn’t funny the hundredth time. It sure the hell isn’t funny 8 years later. A repeated offensive joke is still an offensive joke.
I actually thought this was Kyle Carrozza to be honest.
Could it be? Are we oldfa*s?
Eh, I hail from the mythical pre-4chan times of Flash animations (RIP AmishDonkey), Shockwave Player games and dial-up internet tones. Not quite a Usenet guy, but old enough to remember that the pool was closed once.
But yeah, happy brony guy was Ponibooru-era, so plenty of people here would’ve missed it. A lot of stuff never carried over from there.
ugh
well I never liked the site anyways.
Yeah, I think so. As I said I don’t hang around the place, but I’ve seen enough talk about it, and that seems to be the origin, yes.
Isn’t that incident where the “Admins are asleep, post ponies!” gag came from?
I don’t hang around the place, but from my understanding they eventually banned ponies altogether and anyone who mentioned them. Kind of like they did with furries several years back, I’ve read. It wasn’t until a couple years later that they wanted in on the popularity so set up the /mlp/ board.
