In the Japanese version of PlayStation games the accept button is O and the cancel button is X (the opposite of U.S. PlayStation games).

At first U.S. PlayStation games were like that too before they changed it (Final Fantasy VII was like that if I remember correctly).

I guess sense I’m used to Nintendo’s usual “A-button = confirm, B-button = cancel” menu controls, that’s never been an issue for me.

Oddly, some older SNES games use B for confirming, and X for cancelling, which feels odd sometimes nowadays.

Gameplay wise, Nintendo controls about the same as PlayStation or XBOX. On menu screens however, accept and cancel are in different positions.
Between Nintendo and XBOX, the A and B buttons and the X and Y buttons are switched.
When I played TFH on my PC with a Pokkén Pad, the default controls were like this:
_____(Light)
(Medium)____(Magic)
_____(Heavy)
Any questions?

Why do you say that? The Switch controllers aren’t bad, aside from getting used to the tiny Joy-Con analogue sticks, and the lack of a proper D-Pad for retro-style games. They do have Classic controllers too for those prefering more traditional controllers. (Shame it’s not backwards compatible with Wii/WiiU classic controllers. Personally, I liked the WiiU’s backwards-compatibility, so the Switch lacking that, even for Eshop games, feels like a serious downgrade…)

Also, frankly, I’d be pissed if this becomes another game released for every system, but the Nintendo one…
I mean, Capcom’s “Disney Afternoon Collection” game is a compilation of popular Capcom Disney NES games, so it makes NO sense why it gets a release for everything, but a Nintendo system. (What’s especially cringey is it’s DVD-like extras include images of the boxart, and such for said games, but all the Nintendo logos literally cut out with scissors. While I understand it’s for legal reasons, it kinda rubs it in more…)

Neither does the Google play store, I noticed. I kinda wish the Nintendo Eshop was like that too, but it’s probably due to it having retail physical games for download, and such.

Though, honestly 8 bucks for the Switch Eshop “Mario Bros.: Arcade Archives” now feels kinda expensive, (despite it’s online/custom features added) considering I recently bought the official “Sonic CD Classic” for my phone for only 2 bucks. (Sega fixed all it’s glitches recently luckily too.)
I do hear Sega is considering bringing their “Sega Forever” line of games to Switch, so hopefully Nintendo won’t charge too much for them.
Heck on 3DS you can get some Sega games for $3 - $6.

Are you from the future?
I so want Them’s Fightin’ Herds to have a Switch port!
Though if I were to get it on Steam, I wouldn’t have to pay taxes…

Did it? I know Toby used to make Earthbound rom hacks, the most famous one being the Halloween one (which is where Megalovania came from), but I did not hear that Undertale started as a rom hack itself.
