Yeah she might be more resentful and difficult but considering how many antagonists have already been reformed I wouldn’t rule it out.

I have a hard time imagining Adagio wanting to reform. If anything, I feel like wanting to get the hell away from Adagio might help encourage Aria to reform. But from Adagio, I would expect either contempt or betrayal.

Nah, I’m more in tune with the idea that Sunset seeks to redeem Adagio and show her the magics of friendship that Twilight and her friends have taught her after her defeat in the Battle of the Bands. Y’know, one former villain to a downfallen villain. Never said Adagio still had to be evil!

If Meghan McCarthy developed him regardless of target demographic, he wouldn’t get a rabid hatedom. (Same goes to Kishimoto when it comes to female characters in a shonen manga like Naruto)

Or maybe those people just don’t care for Flash as a character (but don’t hate guys in general)? You know it’s possible to dislike a character or a ship without being sexist to a particular gender?
 
I’m not going to vouch for everyone obviously since I’m sure there are some people in the fandom who are sexist but making an accusation like that’s kind of a huge reach to me.
 
And while I like him, even I have to admit that Flash was kind of bland in the first movie. And I’m sure that is probably why people gravitated towards Sunset more. Plus Sunset had a connection to both worlds (which also applies to the original Twilight) and had a lot of great moments with both Twilights.

Ask anyome who dislikes Flash Sentry and ships Sunsetsparkle. Sometimes it makes me worry that Sunset and Sci-Twi will dislike him because the fandom said so.
 
But again, the show would never influence anything from the fans.
