Mimes aren’t villains. Most are, but I met this mime girl once who was really nice and friendly. She would still annoy people when on stage though.

Bats aren’t good ideas. They’re a strong vector for rabies and other diseases from contact with their poop. Although they habitually come back to where they sleep on a regular basis, they’re not very sociable. The closest to a sociable bat you can get is Australia’s Flying Fox, but even then handlers must be expressly trained to handle them and they’re not often kept as permanent residents of their sanctuary, they’re kept there because their mothers died in a heat wave, or they lost consciousness in the trees and got injured in a fall or some other accident. And this too is with Australia being recognized as more-or-less rabies free, you just don’t handle bats casually.
 
Not to mention they can break easily.

You can get one, but you will become angsty and moody and beat up mimes thinking they are “villains.” So actually a great idea!

Now I’m wondering whether having a pet bat is a thing.
 
I’m insanely allergic to cats, dogs, horses, etc., AND I’m a night owl, so….

Having had experiences with catching bats in the house they don’t tend to “EEEEEEE” just because. They’ve always “EEEEEEEE’d” at me because I was trying to catch them with a towel.
