This is the 19th of my series designing clothes for ponies/creatures with a flower theme. Finished with the mane six, this time I picked the flowers based on the flora’s meaning closest to what Discord is associated with, keeping what colors suited him best in mind.
 
Discord’s flower is Celosia, also known as the Cockscomb. In the languages of flowers it represents Foppery, Affectation, Singularity, Silliness, and Absurdity. I would’ve liked to have picked a flower that directly means chaos- since he his the spirit of chaos- but I already did the Hibiscus for another pony (hiding something, Bon Bon? ) . All those things are pretty negative sounding, but all of those traits are what makes Discord so much fun! But here’s a positive trait, if you want one: joyous, uncomplicated affection.
