If you count Starlight as a main character, she hasn’t spent time with the CMC at all. Plus the three of them only interact with Spike in one episode IIRC and Applejack hasn’t really had much significant screen time with Scootaloo.
 
And from what I can tell, this is a pretty small ship, enough to fall under the category of “everyone gets shipped with everyone eventually”.

The man and woman in the actual photo this image is based on did not know each other. The man basically just grabbed the nearest woman he could find and kissed her, and a photographer who happened to be nearby snapped a picture. Greta Friedman, widely accepted as the woman in question, made it clear that the kiss was not consensual.
 
From Eisenstaedt (the photographer): “I was walking through the crowds on V-J Day, looking for pictures. I noticed a sailor coming my way. He was grabbing every female he could find and kissing them all — young girls and old ladies alike. Then I noticed the nurse, standing in that enormous crowd. I focused on her, and just as I’d hoped, the sailor came along, grabbed the nurse, and bent down to kiss her. Now if this girl hadn’t been a nurse, if she’d been dressed dark clothes, I wouldn’t have had a picture. The contrast between her white dress and the sailor’s dark uniform gives the photograph its extra impact.”

It’s funny how people ship these 2 yet they haven’t even talked to one another once. I know what crackshipping is everyone. Congratulations. I’m not that dense, but what I mean to say is these 2 are shipped yet they’re the only MAIN characters who haven’t seemed to have interacted with one another yet in this show which I indeed find strange.
