I assume it’s also for Netflix’s service to make room for new shows/movies. They change it around monthly, or on a bi-weekly basis. They did bring back the Batman movies, and the original Ghostbusters, so maybe they’ll bring back MST3k in a year, or so. (Or replace them with different classic episodes.)  
They’re apparently keeping the new Netflix-exclusive season at least. (Seeing as it doesn’t have an expiration date.) I enjoyed it, (some of the old characters even cameo like Miss Forester, and Joel has a few cameo roles) but I wish they would do another new season of it too.
 
They also have some of the classic episodes on Youtube via the off Youtube Channel for MST3k, and other uploaders,

What a disappointment. I just don’t see the reasoning behind removing availability of old content. My guess is that it has to do with licensing fees (always follow the money, right?). I know my younger brother will be disappointed – he was just starting to really ‘get’ MST3k, after being annoyed for two decades by my obsession with it. lol
 
Fear not, as there are many (almost all?) episodes available elsewhere. Check out Club MST3k.com if you’re interested.
