@luna’s husbando
I think its also because escort mission are notoriously bad among all forms of game mechanics. Its particularly even worse with the RE series because it came from a survival horror genre. Instead of feeling a scary vibe because you’re all alone surrounded by monsters… you’re not alone. You have to escort some kid.
Then again if I had to play as Ashley in RE4, I wouldn’t mind because she’s a normal person. Not some city cop turned super soldier like Leon. Imagine a character on the Walking Dead that kills walkers constantly by doing suplexes on them. That’s Leon.
@hironakamura
Ashley Graham isn’t as bad as people say. Yeah, she keeps getting recaptured in cutscenes, but the escort segments aren’t nearly as bad as people make them out to be. Just use the dumpsters.
Yeah I know, but I always thought the AnonxFluttershy had a motorcycle. Ah well.
Sunburst still ain’t cool enough.
You think that’s bad, recall the end of zoe from re7 and its player character.
Every bit of tension sucked from the setting.

Also, she drove that bulldozer like a boss.
Its a water ski thing. That’s the ending to Resident Evil 4. But yeah Sunburst’s definitely no Leon or Starlight a whiny Ashley either.
Glimmer’s flank belongs only to Trixie.
