Wow, your second post ever, after all this time. :p Now I’m curious as to what brings you back around to these parts.

If you look at the canon families, you can see each of the kids’ colors comes from somewhere on one of the parents but it’s often in different places, in different shades, etc. None of them really looks like the parents DNA Digivolved. (I know I’m not who you asked, but whatevs.)

the way ponies’ genes work isn’t the way we make fusions, ponies’ genes are more complicated. and offspring mustn’t have the same talent as their parents or the mix of their talents. you can read more in the blog linked as source, there must be smth about it (bc i’m the artist & had written the whole post about difference between offspring and fusion lol)

What’s the difference between making fusions and offspring? Making a baby is basically a fusion of the genes.
