It’s headcanon so it won’t happen
It’s not about being allowed. She’s just never shown any interest in pursuits not directly related to eventually taking over the rock farm. Assuming she follows in her parents’ hoofsteps to a tee, she’ll find a husband the same way as well.
If she wants to reach that same goal, but on her own path, she’ll need to get out of her apparent comfort zone.
But of course, Pinkie loves being an aunt. And when Pinkie wants something Maud will do whatever it takes to give it to her.
I never got that headcanon, why isn’t Limestone allowed to date?

The high plausibility of that headcanon bums me out almost as much as the headcanon that Limestone will have a choosing stone arranged marriage instead of dating like Maud.
