Fire Starter is the only child of Fast Clip and Spitfire. When she was born, Spitfire was very excited to teach her daughter everything she knew about being a good flyer in hopes that she would someday take after her and join the Wonderbolts in her hoofsteps.. However, as Firestar got older, she came to realize she didn’t want to be a Wonderbolt.. Although she was hesitant to tell her parents how she felt, due to the fact she feared her mother’s heart would be broken. Eventually, Firestar was able to tell her mother the truth, and yes; Spitfire was a bit hurt about it, but she pushed her pride aside for the sake of her child and accepted that her daughter would never be a Wonderbolt. However, Firestar did stay at the Academy; Not to become a Wonderbolt herself, but to use the knowledge her mother gave her growing up to help train the other ponies who DID want to become Wonderbolts by becoming assistant Coach.
Firestar’s best friend is Solar Flare. The two of them met when their parents were having a Wonderbolt Reunion. Solar’s father being Firestreak and Firestar’s being Spitfire, of course. Although Solar was a unicorn, the two of them hit it off almost immediately. Both of them had the same opinions towards a pegasus by the name of Typhoon Blaze (Son of Thunderlane and Lightning Dust) That he was a headstrong, ego-maniac that needs to get his brain checked. (He still believed his mother should’ve been appointed leader in the Academy instead of Rainbow Dash and hates the fact Lightning Dust is still in the Wonderbolt Reserves instead of the actual team by now) Although his father, Thunderlane, HAS been made into an official, he’s more of a “mommy’s boy”, and follows after her instead.
Although Firestar may seem as stern and serious as her mother, she is actually a very cooperative and playful mare, loves to tell jokes and hang out with her friends.
