And the royal guard constantly gets their flanks handed to them even though they’re supposed to be the guardians of the most important figures of an entire nation, honestly with how bad the equestrian military is if it weren’t for the sheer dumb luck that they have not only 2 powerful immortal Demi goddesses as rulers and the tree/ elements of harmony which have power that surpasses that of even discord’s they likely would’ve been conquered by hostile forces a long time ago.

The Wonderbolts really suck at their jobs; Every time they try to rescue a pony in peril, they end up being the ones needing to be rescued as well.
To some extent, certain plots and premises are dependent on it. Zombie outbreaks would be pretty short in a realistic scenario, after all.
As for MLP, one of the patterns is that violence rarely works out, so naturally anyone attempting it tends to get defeated. And against some foes, I can’t blame them.
It’s just that things don’t work for them in cases like this, because plot. No, not that kind of plot.
Unfortunately knowledge isn’t everything if you can’t don’t a damn thing about it; thus why she passes her “knowledge” to Twilight someone who can get the job done.

Not harsh enough. Celestia got the looks for sure but, she’s a useless piece of trash that just sits on her throne and let’s stuff happen. Pretty much like Canada’s prime minister, minus the looks.

Celestia herself is just as useless.
