Yes, though at least we could simply attribute it to the elements being bonded to the main 6.
Maybe that’s what is going on at the end of the season. Who knows?

They’ve used them to represent the elements before. The defeat of Tirek in “Twilight’s Kingdom” has the bearers glow with their color as the rainbow power is activated, and ditto with the song Let The Rainbow Remind You .

I’m saying it was clumsy writing.
That still maintains the problem on your part where neither Sandbar nor Ocellus are connected to an element at all. The elements in that case shouldn’t have worked if they didn’t match.

Problem: The statement of the moment is “They’e glowing like the elements!”
Not the holders, the elements themselves.
Sandbar’s yellow, Smoulder’s a light blue, Ocellus is white. It’s the color of the element bearer, otherwise Smoulder would have been laughter instead of loyalty and no element color matches Sandbar if he’s yellow.
Actually, only Yona’s is correct.
Gallus is Magic (purple), Silverstream is Kindness (pink), and Yona is Honesty (orange). The other three were white.

Silverstream would be drax cos both of them don’t understand sarcasm.
Sandbar would be Peter cos both are the main species of there universes and are both laid back.

A Fairly Odd Christmas maybe? I don’t know if Devyn Dalton do voice acting in the Planet of Apes movies, because I watched them on German.
