Actual story and such later now just a summary:  
During his 100- imprisonment as a statue his “mind” or “spirit” as in a big black void, he was alone in there except for the about 500ish years into it, a little filly appeared , about 11 years old, he was confused by this as only chaos creatures are banished to this void. This filly was Screwball, also a creature of a chaos, though she was only turned to stone because other ponies feared her , she didn’t harm anyone, they just were scared of her. (ridiculous I know, but people do really over the top things to things they fear)  
So she is like 500+ years but 500 of those years were spent in the void so, she was mentally 11 for 498 years so when she was released (
