Well masculinity is valued in the Dragonlands. Dragons are about pride and strength, so even females would be looked down on if they acted girly. As for Smolder, not surprising cause she’s a kid.

Artists having fun with varied body designs, I suppose. I actually don’t hold it against them that DHX tried out different designs, but some of them just kinda… don’t work very well visually.  

Fizzle and Thod are good. I don’t know why they go out of their way to make every other dragon ugly, though.
