Well, I’ve googled that and you’re right. I knew that herd is used for horse group, but didn’t know that it could mean a flock. The last one is bad thing in our language too.
 
Also old is gold. In past, our fandom was really great and we shouldn’t forgot or ignore that. Even if fandom made ugly things.

No. No, I’m not scared. I just think the phrase is dumb. For one, When people usually use the term herd when describing people, it’s usually used as a bad thing because it’s used to imply that the people in the group can’t think for themselves.
 
It also just reminds me how vaguely cultish some of the bad apples of the fandom used to be back when it was really popular. Lots of fans would try to “convert” people into the fandom (sometimes by harassing non-fans or forcing them to get into it). One of my friends was harassed by a few bronies online back then and she was (and still is) hesistant to talk about the show (even though she likes it now).
