That is rather specific
If you’re referring to how anyone making jokes about the character’s voice actor or whoever plays them can get really annoying well it depends if they do get annoyong so much do to the point we’re they’re well….. just old I guess you can stay that but once again it really only depends if whether them making these jokes about their voice actors or whoever plays them can be really boring or not

In middle earth you would welcome orcs with open arms, do you??
I could agree to that.
I mean all that was needed was to make a couple of Pinky and the Brain jokes, then for people to actually realize how much of an asshole Neighsay is.
Because everyone is too busy making jokes about his voice actor, which I don’t think Neighsay even deserves.
There’s actually a flaw in your argument.
You’re talking about growing up in a certain culture will effect someone. Well the same could be applied to the Germans in the 1930s and 40s. I’m sure you get that I’m talking mainly about those poor children who were raised in Nazism, those who didn’t know any better.
But I’m also talking about how many Germans weren’t 100% on board with all the messed up Nazi stuff. While there were Germans who willingly followed the whole Nazi thing, many more followed Nazis out of fear or because of the resentment of the aftermath WW1.
But what I’m saying is that there’s some, if only a little bit of ground to stand on when it comes saying that culture defines who people are, it’s not enough to say that everyone of a certain culture will all be bad solely based on the culture they were raised in. And that judging all dragons based on the few isn’t right.

I hear you, but there is a major flaw in your argument, in that unlike black people, who can be found anywhere in a wide variety of lifestyles, dragons are both a race and a culture. We have never seen a single dragon besides Spike living outside the dragonlands , meaning they all grow up in a society that encourages strength and taking what you want by force. Are they irredeemable? Of course not, as Ember and Smoulder have proven, but the fact remains that until the message of friendship spreads, the only thing keeping ponies safe from dragons is Embers friendship with Spike.
Now with all that being said I would like to see Neighsay taken down a peg, yet I would much rather it be through reformation than simple banishment or violence. Punch a racist and he’ll probably become even more racist, if you talk to him like a human being, try and figure out why he feels the way he does and try and turn him around, thats how you fix racism and I think it would be a good lesson.

While I understand that, that doesn’t cover up that it’s racist.
And while I know dragons are different than people, but it’s not right to assume that everyone of a certain race are all bad. It’s like assuming it that all black people are gang bangers from the hood who want to rob you.
But I’m pretty sure you get the idea.
In some cases i can agree with you
I am not trying to justify his racism, merely that I understand where it comes from. Equestria has been invaded multiple times, I think it’s understandable that some ponies would be a little wary of outsiders. Is he going to stand being pushed aside probably not, yet I don’t think he’s going to go full super villain and try and take over equestria, more likely he will become a roadblock, someone who uses his beuracratic powers to try and hinder twilights new school for what he feels is the good of Equestria. And I think that’s what makes him interesting to me, he’s a asshole who sees himself as doing the right thing, with twilights new students being the dangerous ones. As the old saying goes “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
Quit trying justify his racism.
And I doubt he’s going to just put up with it his choices being cast aside.
And why is this labeled as semi-grimdark? It’s a happy moment, not a dark or depressing one.

There seems to be an interesting response to chancellor Neighsay most are going “yeah he’s racist and an ass …but he’s also brings up some good points”. He never hurt anyone, never really tried to oppose the princess once Celestia put her foot down, and never really broke any rules or used his position to harm the school in a way that was unfair. All he did was state his (very very biased) opinion and last I checked punching people whose opinion is different than yours is wrong.
Yeah.
I think that Flash never really did anything to deserve the hate he gets. But it is really dumb that he gets more hate than this racist asshole.
While I do like his voice, since it’s Brain from Pinky and the Brain, but that’s the “likeable” thing about him.
That confuses me as well, flash sentry gets a lot more abuse/hate art than this guy even though his only “crime” is being an admittedly cliche and flat character (to the point that the show writers are afraid to use him in fear of a backlash from his haters.) yet he gets way more abuse thrown at him than genuine assholes such as chancellor neighsay
