It was a hell of a way to discuss a mature theme in a child-friendly way!As a BSA camp counselor/firearms instructor for youth, it’s a topic that I have had to address a number of times, so it really touched me personally!

Seriously, though, the hippogriffs’/seaponies’ decision to divide their race in two following the Storm King’s defeat raises a whole bucketload of issues that I wonder whether the show writers have even thought of. This is a seriously mixed up culture, and I suspect they’re just starting to grasp the consequences of their choice.
While not an unreasonable assumption, that’s still an assumption. Sea ponies could have pony parts, or hippogriffs could have bird parts. I doubt DHX is planning to address the issue.
And most fish lay unfertilized eggs that are then fertilized externally, so she might not even get pregnant in that form. Or they could be like seahorses, and Sky Beak would be the one getting pregnant.
I think that even if they are, the different operating parameters and the ease of swapping between the two builds means a matched pair is still the best way to go.
