No offense, but I’m not really sold on that one.
That’s hovering, not flying. Yes, she can get off the ground for a few seconds, but she’s not going to be flying circles around Rainbow Dash anytime soon.

Meh, I still think “yes, but she should go through hell to earn it” is a reasonable answer in terms of maintaining a decent narrative.

I dunno, man.
After nine years of seeing her struggle with it and showing some small progress with it (She couldn’t fly at all during season 1 and nowadays she can at least get off the ground), I’d like to have at least some closure with it.
Yeah, it what makes her so endearing to begin with and is a great part of her character. Taking a character flaw away doesn’t necessarily make that character better even if we sympathize with her and want to always make everything better. It would also make her more like all the other characters.
I’m a fan of things like Tempest not having a horn because it makes the character special. Also in the real world you don’t always get what you want and accepting that is an important part of growing up.
