I don’t think Firelight used to be overdoting like he is today.
From his dialogue, it sounds like he blames Starlight’s evil actions on himself and thinks if he was more present during her childhood she would never do any of those. Now he is overcompensating.
Now that this episode has finally aired for real and I have rewatched it, I didn’t hear anything about how Firelight’s patronizing of Starlight was the reason why Starlight isolated herself from trying to make new friends. I think she clearly said that she never tried because she was afraid of going through the same heartbreak she had with Sunburst.
Once this episode airs today, I’m gonna rewatch it and see if I heard anything I missed.
I think the problem is that her father is overprotective and for that reason Glimmy never learned to get over the loss of Sunburst.
||Are you sure? Because I almost thought that her family made no or very little effort to approach Starlight about her issues when Sunburst left. Then again, I’ve only watched this episode just once. ||

People didnt wait conveniently shaped gate to ship those two y’know,it came naturally with them being childhood friend who reunited after losing track of each other and trying to reconnect.I like the chemistry those two have together,it feel very natural

If you pay attention, Starlight mentions how her father’s OverprotectiveNess prevented her from making anymore friends when she was younger. Therefore never learning how to properly make them or get over losing them.
She has the perfect voice to sound ”hot”, but I don’t know how else to describe it.
I suck at recognizing accent in foreign language but is it me or does Stellar Flare have some sort of “jewish mom” accent ? That’ll fit with her overbearing personality
