“Applejack must have the patience of a saint”
The “patience of Job”. That is the character in the Bible who is famous for his patience and endurance through suffering.

Heh I never thought of that I mean it did get a “good” ending well the story of Job after getting his shit taken away from him.

the trope or whatever bugged me the “dont tell someone their bad and lie your ass off” bit,I mean I can see why,but christ it was frustrating to watch..Applejack must have the patience of a saint…I mean she has to with the likes of Pinkie and Dash as her friends.

I know a lot of people probably thought the same thing, but I have to wonder if _Honest Apple_jack might have forgotten that there’s a right and wrong way to critique someone’s creative endeavors.

I mean yes, Twilight telling Celestia from the start that she was a bad actor would have been a better way to go overall, but I can’t fault her for trying to make it work. Her mentor, a pony she cares a great deal about, was genuinely, enthusiastically excited at the possibility of being involved in her play. And as important as honesty is to a friendship, giving a friend multiple chances to improve and get better at something, no matter how terribly they start out, is not a bad option either.
