Wouldn’t it be nice for Gallus to initiate, though? To demonstrate that he’s learned so much to open up and be able to show affection. Where once he would’ve baulked at the idea of even putting a wing over Sandbar’s withers, now he has no problem in delivering a kiss to him.
 
From tense nights spent sneaking into Sandbar’s dorm, only for the two to cuddle up under the sheets, safe from prying eyes; to taking him out on Hearts and Hooves Day, not caring for who might see them claw in hoof.
 
To simply resting his head against Sandbar’s, telling him he’s so sorry he never before opened himself up to the thought of loving and being loved. And a quiet little kiss to his beak, his coltfriend telling him the only thing that matters now is that he has. Perhaps on their first Hearth’s Warming together, giving thanks for so many days of loving behind them and so many more ahead. _<3
