before fluttershy was with her husband, quarter hearts, she was in a previous relationship with discord  
the bond between the two was obvious, and no one was surprised when they became a couple and got married. not long after, they had a daughter named floret. discord wasnt home all too often, as he had an important job with royalty. and every time he returned, floret would nearly burst into tears of happiness. then one day, he told fluttershy he was leaving. he didnt say where, only that he would now. confused and upset, fluttershy pleaded for him to stay. but he snapped his fingers, and vanished. fluttershy was devastated, and it rubbed floret the wrong way. she became cynical and generally mean-spirited because of it.  
however, fluttershy did find love again with quarter hearts, and they too had a daughter, who is little flidaisia. while floret isnt as bad of a person, there is no one she hates more than discord. but he hasnt been seen (by his former family, that is) since that day.
