Part one
 
Long before Larkspur was born, Fluttershy knew that she wanted to have a natural birth. However, she had not planned to do it alone. While Discord was away on a diplomatic trip to the Land of the Centaurs with Princess Twilight, Fluttershy sneezed, and suddenly, whoops…the baby’s coming.  
With help from her animal friends, including Angel, her son was born happy, healthy and hungry. Overall it was the most gentle birth someone could ask for; one hour from start to finish. The larkspur had bloomed early that year, and so Fluttershy decided Larskpur would be the best name for her new bab. The two lay together in the grass in postpartum bliss for hours, enjoying the Spring breeze.
 
…and then Discord came home, entirely mutilating an otherwise beautiful moment.
 

 
Had to update this piece because oh my god was it ugly. Hopefully this one captures the mood just as well! If you didn’t see the original before, no worries. The story hasn’t really changed, and you’re spared from my old pony art lol
