The structures are intentionally maintained for tourists, the grass doesn’t care about radiation and the animals flourish because radiation is far less hazardous to their continued reproduction than human involvement.

Littlepip might not like that place at all.  
The structures are more decayed than those of the falloutverse, the boring, normal radiation won’t heal her injuries and there’s no food at all in there for a horse. On top of that, would be very boring, with no raiders and the mutated animals dying from radiation poisoning rather than grow in size and turning into a threat.
