One theme of The Wire is that the characters have realistic amounts of plot armor that corresponds to their IRL access to physical armor or protection. They also don’t have any main character suddenly become suicidal.
I haven’t watched The Wire but I get the distinct feeling that unlike Game of Thrones, there were actual consistent characters instead of a revolving door of various protagonists and antagonists because George R.R Martin wanted the shock value of ensuring that no character had any sort of plot armor. Also, of course, that’s how real life works but generally, I like a work of fiction I can actually invest myself in and not have the “payoff” be that the person I’m rooting for gets the revolutionary’s handshake or that one of the main antagonists just decides to off himself.
But that’s just my take on things.
Are you fukin high?
Somehow The Wire pulled it off. It’s often how real life happens, too.
Edibles are amazing, eh?
Except Armageddon is nothing special for a fanfiction writer, it just means that he is bored of us and is about to press the delete button on ALL our cringy lives.
Biggest mistake: Writing a fanfiction called “Modern Society”
He should have stuck with Fantasy, lmao
Or at least pick a new Genre, I heard he’s starting to think about writing Sci-Fi HAHAh
Please let it be Sci-Fi, I wanna go to space and marry a Quarian waifu
I hope he can’t read computers, cause I think I got reservations in hell now…if I believe in that

David Cage: EMOOOOSHUNS!
Well, of course, they make characters that go through hardships, trials, and tribulations. Because that’s how you create stakes in your stories and get people interested. Otherwise, you’re just watching perfect beings go from A to B with next to no trouble. Then again on the other end, if you make the trials too insurmountable, you risk writing yourself into a corner to which you have to either resort to retconning events or pulling a Game of Thrones and just having it to where there is no real point in getting invested because at any moment, any character’s story arc can get abruptly ended by an untimely and out of nowhere demise.
And yes, I don’t get it.
It is akin to how some writers want to play God by making the characters they create suffer as well.
It is ironic, almost poetic in a way.
No you don’t understand
Poverty and alcoholism are edgy hurr hurr lul
Or you know, the exact words most of the poor people on the planet think every day.
There are a lot of different types of alcoholics, for example functioning suicidal alcoholics like Hank in the game or dV in this pic and while most of the time just passively killing oneself every day, while drunk enough this can become actively trying to kill oneself, like Hank going singleplayer russian roulette.
Then you haven’t played the game

I figure Delta is more suitable in Todd’s position, if Kara didn’t kill Todd, he’ll appear back at the bus stop and tries to stop her but you can try to be reasonable with him and unlock an important option which is Todd’s back story, where Kara explains why Todd bought Alice, because his real daughter left with his wife and he wanted to become a good father, man that scene is so powerful, but yeah.

i know
And she got that filly by her at the time best friend banged her up, ruined her life and kicked her when she was in her most vulnerable state.
Seems pretty fitting to think like that.
i know her past, and every story about her.
She have a wonderfull filly, so there’s no need to think this way
