Description
The weather at the June brony meetup in Cologne was a lot better than the forecast had first predicted so chalk drawing was possible. The first chalkdrawing of Lyra I made last year came with a sadly misplaced horn, without eyelashes and other flawes to be expected from a beginner (she was among my earliest chalk drawings) so I wanted to give her another chalk drawing.
At the GalaCon I drew the images of Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Applebloom, Black Gryph0n, Octavia, Minuette/Colgate and one attempt (that one was really distorted) at Spitfire. Here is a link to the chalk folder on my deviantart page. I got images of most MLP chalk drawings I made including the larger ones (of Sunset Shimmer and Nightmare Moon).
As for conventions, one can have a really great time there and meet many fellow bronies. I am definitely going to be at the GalaCon again this year and I will have a big bucket of chalk with me so we can decorate that place again ;)

I have drawn some larger scale chalk ponies. Nothing huge, but some measured more than a meter and were full body drawings rather than just the heads. At the GalaCon 2017 I brought some big buckets of chalk along and other bronies and I decorated the place in front of the bouilding where the convention was held. Here is a little video showing of what it looked like in the end.
No need for the thanks - I looked at your original attempt. That’s a nice improvement, though I’m sure you have had plenty of time to improve over the past year. Do you think you might ever try something on a larger scale?
With chalk many colors can be mixed if one applies several different colors on top of each other and then rubs them together. That’s how the eye color was mixed with a magenta and a yellow piece of chalk and a little white for the shinier part on the iris. For the black of the eyelashes I use charcoal, but while that one too can be used for mixing it usually not just darkens the color but also makes it look kind of dirty, which is why I went for cerulean / blue (and just a tiny amount of black charcoal) for the ear. Thank you very much for your feedback, I appreciate it a lot :)
