Description
It’s been exactly two years since I started uploading drawings to DA, so I decided to try redrawing one of my first uploads.
At the time that I drew the first version, I’d only been drawing for less than a week, and I’d only gotten into MLP around a month earlier.
@SuperSupermario24
Yeah, I got that completely back-asswards, my apologies. I didn’t think it through, I’m going through a new job, and a lack of sleep+stress these last few weeks have been making an absolute mess out of me (maybe you’ve worked for a family friend before, so you might know how taxing it can be. If you haven’t, I recommend you avoid it)
Now if you excuse me, I’ll go weep inside my Box of Shame, with the solemn promise of actually thinking through before posting from now on
I just remembered I haven’t drawn a single thing in that same timeframe.
This could’ve been me.
In that case the “Valve Time” comparison doesn’t really work, since that’s usually used to refer to how Valve is always super slow with everything.
@Cirrus Light
OK, here’s the solution: He was in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Eh, if he only has minutes when we have many years, then he has to improve in minutes to improve in years in our time.
Uh, no, just the opposite! It feels like he’s cheating time. Like he goes into his Valve-Time to practice drawing while we have to make do with slowly progressing in Earth time >_>
So you’re saying this much improvement over 2 years is unimpressive?
I always heard/thought of it as 1 Valve unit of time (minute/hour/day)=several standard Earth units of time (minutes/hours/days)
In short, what feels like eons to us is a coffee break to them
Wouldn’t that be the opposite? Since it’s been all these years and still no HL3?
